2 Samuel 7:21

7:21 For the sake of your promise and according to your purpose ¹  you have done this great thing in order to reveal it to your servant. ² 

2 Samuel 12:25

12:25 and sent word through Nathan the prophet that he should be named Jedidiah ³  for the Lord’s sake.

[7:21]  ¹ tn Heb “for the sake of your word and according to your heart.”

[7:21]  ² tn Heb “to make known, your servant.”

[12:25]  ³ sn The name Jedidiah means “loved by the Lord.”
