15:6 Both the apostles and the elders met together to deliberate ¹  about this matter.

Acts 28:24

28:24 Some were convinced ²  by what he said, ³  but others refused ⁴  to believe.

[15:6]  ¹ tn The translation for ἰδεῖν (idein) in this verse is given by BDAG 279-80 s.v. εἶδον 3 as “deliberate concerning this matter.” A contemporary idiom would be to “look into” a matter.

[28:24]  ² tn Or “persuaded.”

[28:24]  ³ tn Grk “by the things spoken.”

[28:24]  ⁴ sn Some were convinced…but others refused to believe. Once again the gospel caused division among Jews, as in earlier chapters of Acts (13:46; 18:6).
