Acts 17:30

17:30 Therefore, although God has overlooked ¹  such times of ignorance, ²  he now commands all people ³  everywhere to repent, ⁴ 

Acts 1:7

1:7 He told them, “You are not permitted to know ⁵  the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority.

[17:30]  ¹ tn Or “has deliberately paid no attention to.”

[17:30]  ² tn Or “times when people did not know.”

[17:30]  ³ tn Here ἀνθρώποις (anqrwpoi") has been translated as a generic noun (“people”).

[17:30]  ⁴ sn He now commands all people everywhere to repent. God was now asking all mankind to turn to him. No nation or race was excluded.

[1:7]  ⁵ tn Grk “It is not for you to know.”
