Acts 23:15

23:15 So now you and the council ¹  request the commanding officer ²  to bring him down to you, as if you were going to determine ³  his case ⁴  by conducting a more thorough inquiry. ⁵  We are ready to kill him ⁶  before he comes near this place.” ⁷ 

Acts 27:12

27:12 Because the harbor was not suitable to spend the winter in, the majority decided ⁸  to put out to sea ⁹  from there. They hoped that ¹⁰  somehow they could reach ¹¹  Phoenix, ¹²  a harbor of Crete facing ¹³  southwest and northwest, and spend the winter there.

Acts 28:23

28:23 They set ¹⁴  a day to meet with him, ¹⁵  and they came to him where he was staying ¹⁶  in even greater numbers. ¹⁷  From morning until evening he explained things ¹⁸  to them, ¹⁹  testifying ²⁰  about the kingdom of God ²¹  and trying to convince ²²  them about Jesus from both the law of Moses and the prophets.

[23:15]  ¹ tn Grk “the Sanhedrin” (the Sanhedrin was the highest legal, legislative, and judicial body among the Jews).

[28:23]  ²² sn Testifying about the kingdom of God. The topic is important. Paul’s preaching was about the rule of God and his promise in Jesus. Paul’s text was the Jewish scriptures.
