Acts 3:3

3:3 When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple courts, ¹  he asked them for money. ² 

Acts 20:22

20:22 And now, ³  compelled ⁴  by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem ⁵  without knowing what will happen to me there, ⁶ 

[3:3]  ¹ tn Grk “the temple.” This is actually a reference to the courts surrounding the temple proper, and has been translated accordingly.

[3:3]  ² tn Grk “alms.” See the note on the word “money” in the previous verse.

[20:22]  ³ tn Grk “And now, behold.” Here ἰδού (idou) has not been translated.

[20:22]  ⁴ tn Grk “bound.”

[20:22]  ⁵ sn This journey to Jerusalem suggests a parallel between Paul and Jesus, since the “Jerusalem journey” motif figures so prominently in Luke’s Gospel (9:51-19:44).

[20:22]  ⁶ tn BDAG 965 s.v. συναντάω 2 has τὰ ἐν αὐτῇ συναντήσοντα ἐμοὶ μὴ εἰδώς without knowing what will happen to me there Ac 20:22.”
