Acts 6:2

6:2 So the twelve ¹  called ²  the whole group ³  of the disciples together and said, “It is not right for us to neglect the word of God to wait on tables. ⁴ 

Acts 21:22

21:22 What then should we do? They will no doubt ⁵  hear that you have come.

[6:2]  ¹ sn The twelve refers to the twelve apostles.

[6:2]  ² tn Grk “calling the whole group…together, said.” The participle προσκαλεσάμενοι (proskalesamenoi) has been translated as a finite verb due to requirements of contemporary English style.

[6:2]  ³ tn Or “the multitude.”

[6:2]  ⁴ tn Grk “to serve tables.”

[21:22]  ⁵ tn L&N 71.16 has “pertaining to being in every respect certain – ‘certainly, really, doubtless, no doubt.’…‘they will no doubt hear that you have come’ Ac 21:22.”
