Daniel 1:19

1:19 When the king spoke with them, he did not find among the entire group ¹  anyone like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, or Azariah. So they entered the king’s service. ² 

Daniel 5:8

5:8 So all the king’s wise men came in, but they were unable to read the writing or to make known its ³  interpretation to the king.

Daniel 6:2

6:2 Over them would be three supervisors, one of whom was Daniel. These satraps were accountable ⁴  to them, so that the king’s interests might not incur damage.

Daniel 11:32

11:32 Then with smooth words he will defile ⁵  those who have rejected ⁶  the covenant. But the people who are loyal to ⁷  their God will act valiantly. ⁸ 

Daniel 11:45

11:45 He will pitch his royal tents between the seas ⁹  toward the beautiful holy mountain. But he will come to his end, with no one to help him.

Daniel 12:2

12:2 Many of those who sleep

in the dusty ground will awake –

some to everlasting life,

and others to shame and everlasting abhorrence. ¹⁰

12:4 “But you, Daniel, close up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will dash about, ¹¹  and knowledge will increase.”

[11:45]  ⁹ sn Presumably seas refers to the Mediterranean Sea and the Dead Sea.

[12:2]  ¹¹ sn This verse is the only undisputed reference to a literal resurrection found in the Hebrew Bible.

[12:4]  ¹³ tn Or “will run back and forth”; KJV “shall run to and fro”; NIV “will go here and there”; CEV “will go everywhere.”
