Daniel 8:13

8:13 Then I heard a holy one ³  speaking. Another holy one said to the one who was speaking, “To what period of time does the vision pertain – this vision concerning the daily sacrifice and the destructive act of rebellion and the giving over of both the sanctuary and army to be trampled?”

[1:9]  ¹ tn Heb “Then God granted Daniel loyal love and compassion before the overseer of the court officials.” The expression “loyal love and compassion” is a hendiadys; the two words combine to express one idea.

[3:30]  ² tn Aram “and the king.” The proper name has been supplied in the translation for stylistic reasons.

[8:13]  ³ sn The holy one referred to here is presumably an angel. Cf. 4:13[10], 23 [20].
