[10:18]  1 tn Heb “He added and touched me.” The construction is a verbal hendiadys.

[8:16]  2 sn The only angels whose names are given in the OT are Gabriel (Dan 8:16; 9:21; cf. Luke 1:19, 26) and Michael (Dan 10:13, 21; 12:1; cf. Jude 9; Rev 12:7). The name Gabriel means in Hebrew “man of God,” and Michael means “who is like God?”

[8:17]  3 tn Heb “on my face.”

[8:17]  4 tn Or “human one.”

[10:16]  4 tn Heb “Behold.”

[10:16]  5 tc So most Hebrew MSS; one Hebrew MS along with the Dead Sea Scrolls and LXX read “something that looked like a man’s hand.”

[10:16]  6 tn Heb “my lord,” here a title of polite address. Cf. v. 19.
