Daniel 2:23

Context

2:23 O God of my fathers, I acknowledge and glorify you,

[5:15]  1 tn The Aramaic text does not have “and.” The term “astrologers” is either an appositive for “wise men” (cf. KJV, NKJV, ASV, RSV, NRSV), or the construction is to be understood as asyndetic (so the translation above).

[2:23]  2 tn Aram “we.” Various explanations have been offered for the plural, but it is probably best understood as the editorial plural; so also with “me” later in this verse.

[2:23]  3 tn Aram “the word of the king.”
