Deuteronomy 27:15

[27:15]  2 tn The Hebrew term translated here “abhorrent” (תּוֹעֵבָה, toevah) speaks of attitudes and/or behaviors so vile as to be reprehensible to a holy God. See note on the word “abhorrent” in Deut 7:25.

[11:2]  11 tn The words “which revealed” have been supplied in the translation to show the logical relationship between the terms that follow and the divine judgments. In the Hebrew text the former are in apposition to the latter.

[11:2]  12 tn Heb “his strong hand and his stretched-out arm.”

[23:13]  13 tn Heb “sit.” This expression is euphemistic.

[23:13]  14 tn Heb “with it”; the referent (the spade mentioned at the beginning of the verse) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[23:13]  15 tn Heb “what comes from you,” a euphemism.
