Deuteronomy 1:25

1:25 Then they took 1  some of the produce of the land and carried it back down to us. They also brought a report to us, saying, “The land that the Lord our God is about to give us is good.”

[1:25]  1 tn The Hebrew text includes “in their hand,” which is unnecessary and somewhat redundant in English style.

[2:37]  2 sn Wadi Jabbok. Now known as the Zerqa River, this is a major tributary of the Jordan that normally served as a boundary between Ammon and Gad (Deut 3:16).

[3:3]  3 tn Heb “was left to him.” The final phrase “to him” is redundant in English and has been left untranslated.

[6:20]  4 tn Heb “your son.”

[6:24]  5 tn Heb “the Lord our God.” See note on the word “his” in v. 17.

[6:25]  6 tn The term “commandment” (מִצְוָה, mitsvah), here in the singular, refers to the entire body of covenant stipulations.
