[1:43]  1 tn Heb “the mouth of the Lord.” See note at 1:26.

[1:45]  2 tn Heb “the Lord.” The pronoun (“he”) has been employed in the translation here for stylistic reasons, to avoid redundancy.

[1:45]  3 tn Heb “did not hear your voice and did not turn an ear to you.”

[18:15]  3 tc The MT expands here on the usual formula by adding “from among you” (cf. Deut 17:15; 18:18; Smr; a number of Greek texts). The expansion seems to be for the purpose of emphasis, i.e., the prophet to come must be not just from Israel but an Israelite by blood.

[28:2]  4 tn Heb “come upon you and overtake you” (so NASB, NRSV); NIV “come upon you and accompany you.”

[30:17]  5 tn Heb “your heart,” as a metonymy for the person.
