[11:7]  1 tn On the addition of these words in the translation see note on “They did not see” in v. 3.

[27:15]  2 tn Heb “man,” but in a generic sense here.

[27:15]  3 tn The Hebrew term translated here “abhorrent” (תּוֹעֵבָה, toevah) speaks of attitudes and/or behaviors so vile as to be reprehensible to a holy God. See note on the word “abhorrent” in Deut 7:25.

[27:15]  4 tn Heb “craftsman’s hands.”

[27:15]  5 tn Or “So be it!” The term is an affirmation expressing agreement with the words of the Levites.

[2:7]  3 tn The Hebrew text does not have the first person pronoun; it has been supplied for purposes of English style (the Lord is speaking here).

[2:7]  4 tn Heb “all the work of your hands.”

[2:7]  5 tn Heb “he has.” This has been converted to first person in the translation in keeping with English style.

[2:7]  6 tn Heb “known” (so ASV, NASB); NAB “been concerned about.”

[2:7]  7 tn Heb “the Lord your God has.” This has been replaced in the translation by the first person pronoun (“I”) in keeping with English style.

[16:15]  4 tn Heb “the Lord.” See note on “he” in 16:1.

[16:15]  5 tn Heb “the Lord your God.” See note on “he” in 16:1.

[16:15]  6 tn Heb “in all the work of your hands” (so NASB, NIV); NAB, NRSV “in all your undertakings.”

[24:19]  5 tn Heb “in the field.”

[24:19]  6 tn Heb “of your hands.” This law was later applied in the story of Ruth who, as a poor widow, was allowed by generous Boaz to glean in his fields (Ruth 2:1-13).

[28:12]  6 tn Heb “all the work of your hands.”

[30:9]  7 tc The MT reads “hand” (singular). Most versions read the plural.

[30:9]  8 tn Heb “the fruit of your womb” (so NAB, NIV); NRSV “of your body.”

[30:9]  9 tn Heb “return and.” The Hebrew verb is used idiomatically here to indicate the repetition of the following action.

[30:9]  10 tn The Hebrew text includes “for good.”
