Deuteronomy 16:4

16:4 There must not be a scrap of yeast within your land ¹  for seven days, nor can any of the meat you sacrifice on the evening of the first day remain until the next morning. ² 

Deuteronomy 10:4

10:4 The Lord ³  then wrote on the tablets the same words, ⁴  the ten commandments, ⁵  which he ⁶  had spoken to you at the mountain from the middle of the fire at the time of that assembly, and he ⁷  gave them to me.

Deuteronomy 24:4

24:4 her first husband who divorced her is not permitted to remarry ⁸  her after she has become ritually impure, for that is offensive to the Lord. ⁹  You must not bring guilt on the land ¹⁰  which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.

[10:4]  ³ tn Heb “he”; the referent (the Lord) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[10:4]  ⁴ tn Heb “according to the former writing.” See note on the phrase “the same words” in v. 2.

[10:4]  ⁵ tn Heb “ten words.” The “Ten Commandments” are known in Hebrew as the “Ten Words,” which in Greek became the “Decalogue.”
