Deuteronomy 11:9

11:9 and that you may enjoy long life in the land the Lord promised to give to your ancestors 4  and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Deuteronomy 16:4

[5:33]  2 tn Heb “the Lord your God.” The pronoun has been used in the translation for stylistic reasons to avoid redundancy.

[5:33]  3 tn Heb “may prolong your days”; NAB “may have long life”; TEV “will continue to live.”

[11:9]  3 tn Heb “fathers” (also in v. 21).

[16:4]  4 tn Heb “leaven must not be seen among you in all your border.”

[16:4]  5 tn Heb “remain all night until the morning” (so KJV, ASV). This has been simplified in the translation for stylistic reasons.

[22:7]  5 tn The Hebrew text uses the infinitive absolute for emphasis, which the translation seeks to reflect with “be sure.”
