Deuteronomy 31:22

31:22 So on that day Moses wrote down this song and taught it to the Israelites,

[2:13]  ¹ sn Wadi Zered. Now known as Wadi el-H£esa, this valley marked the boundary between Moab to the north and Edom to the south.

[2:13]  ² tn Heb “we crossed the Wadi Zered.” This has been translated as “we did so” for stylistic reasons, to avoid redundancy.

[15:3]  ³ tn Heb “your brother.”

[21:12]  ⁵ sn This requirement for the woman to shave her head may symbolize the putting away of the old life and customs in preparation for being numbered among the people of the Lord. The same is true for the two following requirements.
