2:33 the Lord our God delivered him over to us and we struck him down, along with his sons ¹  and everyone else. ² 

Deuteronomy 8:6

8:6 So you must keep his ³  commandments, live according to his standards, ⁴  and revere him.

Deuteronomy 10:20

10:20 Revere the Lord your God, serve him, be loyal to him and take oaths only in his name.

21:22 If a person commits a sin punishable by death and is executed, and you hang the corpse ⁵  on a tree,

[2:33]  ² tn Heb “all his people.”

[8:6]  ³ tn Heb “the commandments of the Lord your God.” The pronoun has been used in the translation for stylistic reasons to avoid redundancy.

[8:6]  ⁴ tn Heb “by walking in his ways.” The “ways” of the Lord refer here to his moral standards as reflected in his commandments. The verb “walk” is used frequently in the Bible (both OT and NT) for one’s moral and ethical behavior.

[21:22]  ⁵ tn Heb “him.”
