2:34 At that time we seized all his cities and put every one of them ¹  under divine judgment, ²  including even the women and children; we left no survivors.

Deuteronomy 34:2

34:2 and all of Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the distant ⁴  sea,

[2:34]  ¹ tn Heb “every city of men.” This apparently identifies the cities as inhabited.

[6:24]  ³ tn Heb “the Lord our God.” See note on the word “his” in v. 17.

[34:2]  ⁵ tn Or “western” (so NAB, NASB, NIV, NRSV); Heb “latter,” a reference to the Mediterranean Sea (cf. NCV, TEV, CEV, NLT).
