Deuteronomy 2:7

2:7 All along the way I, the Lord your God, 1  have blessed your every effort. 2  I have 3  been attentive to 4  your travels through this great wasteland. These forty years I have 5  been with you; you have lacked for nothing.’”

28:55 He will withhold from all of them his children’s flesh that he is eating (since there is nothing else left), because of the severity of the siege by which your enemy will constrict 6  you in your villages.

29:23 The whole land will be covered with brimstone, salt, and burning debris; it will not be planted nor will it sprout or produce grass. It will resemble the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the Lord destroyed in his intense anger. 7
