Deuteronomy 25:16

25:16 For anyone who acts dishonestly in these ways is abhorrent ¹  to the Lord your God.

Deuteronomy 32:4

32:4 As for the Rock, ²  his work is perfect,

for all his ways are just.

He is a reliable God who is never unjust,

he is fair ³  and upright.

[25:16]  ¹ tn The Hebrew term translated here “abhorrent” (תּוֹעֵבָה, to’evah) speaks of attitudes and/or behaviors so vile as to be reprehensible to a holy God. See note on the word “abhorrent” in Deut 7:25.

[32:4]  ² tc The LXX reads Θεός (qeos, “God”) for the MT’s “Rock.”
