[32:39]  1 tn Verses 39-42 appear to be a quotation of the Lord and so the introductory phrase “says the Lord” is supplied in the translation for clarity.

[32:39]  2 tn Heb “deliver from” (so NRSV, NLT).

[32:12]  3 tn The distinctive form of the suffix on this verb form indicates that the verb is an imperfect, not a preterite. As such it draws attention to God’s continuing guidance during the period in view.

[22:27]  5 tn Heb “he”; the referent (the man who attacked the woman) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[28:32]  7 tn Heb “and there will be no power in your hand”; NCV “there will be nothing you can do.”

[32:4]  9 tc The LXX reads Θεός (qeos, “God”) for the MT’s “Rock.”

[32:4]  10 tn Or “just” (KJV, NAB, NRSV, NLT) or “righteous” (NASB).

[28:29]  11 tn Heb “you will not cause your ways to prosper.”
