Deuteronomy 4:22

4:22 So I must die here in this land; I will not cross the Jordan. But you are going over and will possess that ¹  good land.

Deuteronomy 8:16

8:16 fed you in the desert with manna (which your ancestors had never before known) so that he might by humbling you test you ²  and eventually bring good to you.

[4:22]  ¹ tn Heb “this.” The translation uses “that” to avoid confusion; earlier in the verse Moses refers to Transjordan as “this land.”
