[6:15]  1 tn Heb “lest the anger of the Lord your God be kindled against you and destroy you from upon the surface of the ground.” Cf. KJV, ASV “from off the face of the earth.”

[13:10]  2 sn Execution by means of pelting the offender with stones afforded a mechanism whereby the whole community could share in it. In a very real sense it could be done not only in the name of the community and on its behalf but by its members (cf. Lev 24:14; Num 15:35; Deut 21:21; Josh 7:25).

[28:21]  3 tn Heb “will cause pestilence to cling to you.”

[29:5]  4 tn The Hebrew text includes “on you.” This has not been included in the translation for stylistic reasons.

[29:5]  5 tn The Hebrew text includes “from on your feet.”
