Deuteronomy 9:27

9:27 Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; ignore the stubbornness, wickedness, and sin of these people.

Deuteronomy 33:28

33:28 Israel lives in safety,

the fountain of Jacob is quite secure, ¹ 

in a land of grain and new wine;

indeed, its heavens ²  rain down dew. ³ 

Deuteronomy 34:4

34:4 Then the Lord said to him, “This is the land I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ ⁴  I have let you see it, ⁵  but you will not cross over there.”

[33:28]  ¹ tn Heb “all alone.” The idea is that such vital resources as water will some day no longer need protection because God will provide security.

[33:28]  ² tn Or “skies.” The Hebrew term שָׁמַיִם (shamayim) may be translated “heaven(s)” or “sky” depending on the context.

[33:28]  ³ tn Or perhaps “drizzle, showers.” See note at Deut 32:2.

[34:4]  ¹ tn Heb “seed” (so KJV, ASV).

[34:4]  ² tn The Hebrew text includes “with your eyes,” but this is redundant in English and is left untranslated.
