Deuteronomy 9:9

9:9 When I went up the mountain to receive the stone tablets, the tablets of the covenant that the Lord made with you, I remained there 1  forty days and nights, eating and drinking nothing.

Deuteronomy 16:4

Context
16:4 There must not be a scrap of yeast within your land 2  for seven days, nor can any of the meat you sacrifice on the evening of the first day remain until the next morning. 3 

Deuteronomy 16:8

Context
16:8 You must eat bread made without yeast for six days. The seventh day you are to hold an assembly for the Lord your God; you must not do any work on that day. 4

[9:9]  1 tn Heb “in the mountain.” The demonstrative pronoun has been used in the translation for stylistic reasons.

[16:4]  2 tn Heb “leaven must not be seen among you in all your border.”
