Esther 3:8

3:8 Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, “There is a particular people ¹  that is dispersed and spread among the inhabitants ²  throughout all the provinces of your kingdom whose laws differ from those of all other peoples. Furthermore, they do not observe the king’s laws. It is not appropriate for the king to provide a haven for them. ³ 

Luke 11:52-53

11:52 Woe to you experts in religious law! You have taken away ⁴  the key to knowledge! You did not go in yourselves, and you hindered ⁵  those who were going in.”

11:53 When he went out from there, the experts in the law ⁶  and the Pharisees began to oppose him bitterly, ⁷  and to ask him hostile questions ⁸  about many things,

[11:52]  ⁴ sn You have taken away the key to knowledge is another stinging rebuke. They had done the opposite of what they were trying to do.
