12:41 At the end of the 430 years, on the very day, all the regiments ¹  of the Lord went out of the land of Egypt.

Exodus 33:1

33:1 The Lord said to Moses, “Go up ²  from here, you and the people whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land I promised on oath ³  to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ ⁴ 

[12:41]  ¹ sn This military term is used elsewhere in Exodus (e.g., 6:26; 7:4; 12:17, 50), but here the Israelites are called “the regiments of the Lord.”

[33:1]  ² tn The two imperatives underscore the immediacy of the demand: “go, go up,” meaning “get going up” or “be on your way.”
