13:7 Bread made without yeast must be eaten ¹  for seven days; ²  no bread made with yeast shall be seen ³  among you, and you must have no yeast among you within any of your borders.

23:31 I will set ⁴  your boundaries from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the River, ⁵  for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out before you.

[13:7]  ¹ tn The imperfect has the nuance of instruction or injunction again, but it could also be given an obligatory nuance.

[13:7]  ² tn The construction is an adverbial accusative of time, answering how long the routine should be followed (see GKC 374 §118.k).

[23:31]  ⁴ tn The form is a perfect tense with vav consecutive.

[23:31]  ⁵ tn In the Hebrew Bible “the River” usually refers to the Euphrates (cf. NASB, NCV, NRSV, TEV, CEV, NLT).
