5:20 When they went out from Pharaoh, they encountered Moses and Aaron standing there to meet them, ¹ 

Exodus 29:43

29:43 There I will meet ²  with the Israelites, and it will be set apart as holy by my glory. ³ 

[5:20]  ¹ sn Moses and Aaron would not have made the appeal to Pharaoh that these Hebrew foremen did, but they were concerned to see what might happen, and so they waited to meet the foremen when they came out.

[29:43]  ² tn The verb now is a Niphal perfect from the same root, with a vav (ו) consecutive. It simply continues the preceding verb, announcing now that he would meet the people.

[29:43]  ³ tn Or “will be sanctified by my glory” (KJV and ASV both similar).
