1:2 (On the fifth day of the month – it was the fifth year of King Jehoiachin’s exile –

Ezekiel 6:10

6:10 They will know that I am the Lord; my threats to bring this catastrophe on them were not empty.’ ¹

24:26 On that day a fugitive will come to you to report the news. ²

33:33 When all this comes true – and it certainly will ³  – then they will know that a prophet was among them.”

[6:10]  ¹ tn Heb “not in vain did I speak to do to them this catastrophe.” The wording of the last half of v. 10 parallels God’s declaration after the sin of the golden calf (Exod 32:14).
