[1:27]  1 tn See Ezek 1:4.

[1:27]  2 tc The LXX lacks this phrase. Its absence from the LXX may be explained as a case of haplography resulting from homoioteleuton, skipping from כְּמַרְאֵה (kÿmareh) to מִמַּרְאֵה (mimmareh). On the other hand, the LXX presents a much more balanced verse structure when it is recognized that the final words of this verse belong in the next sentence.

[14:13]  3 tn Heb “break its staff of bread.”

[16:49]  5 tn Or “guilt.”

[16:49]  6 tn Heb “strengthen the hand of.”

[32:25]  7 tn Heb “around him her graves,” but the expression is best emended to read “around her grave” (see vv. 23-24).

[43:17]  9 tn Heb “fourteen”; the word “cubits” is not in the Hebrew text but is understood from the context; the phrase occurs again later in this verse. Fourteen cubits is about 7.35 meters.

[43:17]  10 tn Heb “half a cubit” (i.e., 26.25 cm).

[43:17]  11 tn Heb “one cubit” (i.e., 52.5 cm).
