Ezekiel 23:49

23:49 They will repay you for your obscene conduct, and you will be punished for idol worship. ¹  Then you will know that I am the sovereign Lord.”

Ezekiel 25:4

25:4 So take note, ²  I am about to make you slaves of ³  the tribes ⁴  of the east. They will make camps among you and pitch their tents among you. They will eat your fruit and drink your milk.

Ezekiel 33:2

33:2 “Son of man, speak to your people, ⁵  and say to them, ‘Suppose I bring a sword against the land, and the people of the land take one man from their borders and make him their watchman.

[23:49]  ¹ tn Heb “and the sins of your idols you will bear.” By extension it can mean the punishment for the sins.

[25:4]  ² tn The word הִנֵּה (hinneh, traditionally “behold”) indicates being aware of or taking notice of something and has been translated here with a verb (so also throughout the chapter).

[25:4]  ³ tn Heb “Look I am about to give you for a possession to.”
