Ezekiel 44:26

44:26 After a priest ¹  has become ceremonially clean, they ²  must count off a period of seven days for him.

Ezekiel 20:24

[44:26]  ¹ tn Heb “he”; the referent (the priest) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[44:26]  ² tc One medieval Hebrew ms, the LXX, and the Syriac along with Lev 15:13, 28 read the verb as singular.

[20:24]  ³ tn The words “I did this” are not in the Hebrew text, but are supplied for stylistic reasons. Verses 23-24 are one long sentence in the Hebrew text. The translation divides this sentence into two for stylistic reasons.

[20:24]  ⁴ tn Or “they worshiped” (NCV, TEV, CEV); Heb “their eyes were on” or “were after” (cf. v. 16).
