[7:22]  1 sn My treasured place probably refers to the temple (however, cf. NLT “my treasured land”).

[7:22]  2 sn Since the pronouns “it” are both feminine, they do not refer to the masculine “my treasured place”; instead they probably refer to Jerusalem or the land, both of which are feminine in Hebrew.

[23:24]  3 tn Heb “come against.”

[23:24]  4 tn This is the only occurrence of this term in the OT. The precise meaning is uncertain.

[23:24]  5 tn Heb “an assembly of peoples.”

[23:24]  6 tn Heb “I will place before them judgment.”

[47:8]  5 tn Heb “the sea,” referring to the Dead Sea. This has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[47:8]  6 tn Heb “to the sea, those which are brought out.” The reading makes no sense. The text is best emended to read “filthy” (i.e., stagnant). See L. C. Allen, Ezekiel (WBC), 2:273.

[47:8]  7 tn Heb “the waters become healed.”

[39:17]  7 tn Or “sacrifice” (so also in the rest of this verse).
