Genesis 18:15

18:15 Then Sarah lied, saying, “I did not laugh,” because she was afraid. But the Lord said, “No! You did laugh.” ¹ 

Genesis 22:8

22:8 “God will provide ²  for himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son,” Abraham replied. The two of them continued on together.

[18:15]  ¹ tn Heb “And he said, ‘No, but you did laugh.’” The referent (the Lord) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[22:8]  ² tn Heb “will see for himself.” The construction means “to look out for; to see to it; to provide.”
