[24:6]  ² tn Heb “guard yourself.”

[24:6]  ³ tn The introductory clause “And Abraham said to him” has been moved to the end of the opening sentence of direct discourse in the translation for stylistic reasons.

[26:13]  ³ tn Heb “great.” In this context the statement refers primarily to Isaac’s material wealth, although reputation and influence are included.

[26:13]  ⁴ tn Heb “and he went, going and becoming great.” The construction stresses that his growth in possessions and power continued steadily.

[43:10]  ⁴ tn Heb “we could have returned.”

[48:7]  ⁵ tn Heb “upon me, against me,” which might mean something like “to my sorrow.”
