[27:3]  1 tn The Hebrew word is to be spelled either צַיִד (tsayid) following the marginal reading (Qere), or צֵידָה (tsedah) following the consonantal text (Kethib). Either way it is from the same root as the imperative צוּדָה (tsudah, “hunt down”).

[50:17]  2 tn Heb “and Joseph wept when they spoke to him.”

[13:14]  3 tn Heb “and the Lord said to Abram after Lot separated himself from with him.” The disjunctive clause at the beginning of the verse signals a new scene.

[13:14]  4 tn Heb “lift up your eyes and see.”

[31:12]  4 tn Heb “lift up (now) your eyes and see.”

[31:12]  5 tn Heb “going up on,” that is, mounting for intercourse.
