Genesis 27:34

27:34 When Esau heard ¹  his father’s words, he wailed loudly and bitterly. ²  He said to his father, “Bless me too, my father!”

Genesis 27:38

27:38 Esau said to his father, “Do you have only that one blessing, my father? Bless me too!” ³  Then Esau wept loudly. ⁴ 

Genesis 44:22

44:22 We said to my lord, ‘The boy cannot leave his father. If he leaves his father, his father ⁵  will die.’ ⁶

[27:38]  ³ tn Heb “Bless me, me also, my father.” The words “my father” have not been repeated in the translation for stylistic reasons.

[44:22]  ⁵ tn Heb “he”; the referent (the boy’s father, i.e., Jacob) has been specified in the translation for clarity.
