[27:38]  1 tn Heb “Bless me, me also, my father.” The words “my father” have not been repeated in the translation for stylistic reasons.

[27:38]  2 tn Heb “and Esau lifted his voice and wept.”

[44:22]  3 tn Heb “he”; the referent (the boy’s father, i.e., Jacob) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[44:22]  4 tn The last two verbs are perfect tenses with vav consecutive. The first is subordinated to the second as a conditional clause.
