29:15 Then Laban said to Jacob, “Should you work ¹  for me for nothing because you are my relative? ²  Tell me what your wages should be.”

Genesis 37:16

37:16 He replied, “I’m looking for my brothers. Please tell ³  me where they are grazing their flocks.”

[29:15]  ² tn Heb “my brother.” The term “brother” is used in a loose sense; actually Jacob was Laban’s nephew.

[37:16]  ³ tn The imperative in this sentence has more of the nuance of a request than a command.
