Genesis 39:22

39:22 The warden put all the prisoners under Joseph’s care. He was in charge of whatever they were doing. ¹ 

Genesis 47:6

47:6 The land of Egypt is before you; settle your father and your brothers in the best region of the land. They may live in the land of Goshen. If you know of any highly capable men ²  among them, put them in charge ³  of my livestock.”

[39:22]  ¹ tn Heb “all which they were doing there, he was doing.” This probably means that Joseph was in charge of everything that went on in the prison.

[47:6]  ² tn Heb “men of skill.”

[47:6]  ³ tn Heb “make them rulers.”
