Genesis 47:25

47:25 They replied, “You have saved our lives! You are showing us favor, ¹  and we will be Pharaoh’s slaves.” ² 

Genesis 34:16

34:16 Then we will give ³  you our daughters to marry, ⁴  and we will take your daughters as wives for ourselves, and we will live among you and become one people.

[47:25]  ¹ tn Heb “we find favor in the eyes of my lord.” Some interpret this as a request, “may we find favor in the eyes of my lord.”
