5:4 The length of time Adam lived ¹  after he became the father of Seth was 800 years; during this time he had ²  other ³  sons and daughters.

Genesis 25:24

25:24 When the time came for Rebekah to give birth, ⁴  there were ⁵  twins in her womb.

[5:4]  ³ tn The word “other” is not in the Hebrew text, but is supplied for stylistic reasons.

[25:24]  ⁴ tn Heb “And her days were filled to give birth.”

[25:24]  ⁵ tn Heb “look!” By the use of the particle הִנֵּה (hinneh, “look”), the narrator invites the audience to view the scene as if they were actually present at the birth.
