3:4 For the Israelites 1  must live many days without a king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred fertility pillar, without ephod or idols.

Hosea 10:9

Context
Failure to Learn from the Sin and Judgment of Gibeah

10:9 O Israel, you have sinned since the time 2  of Gibeah,

and there you have remained.

Did not war overtake the evildoers in Gibeah?

Hosea 12:1

Context

12:1 Ephraim continually feeds on the wind;

he chases the east wind all day;

he multiplies lies and violence.

They make treaties 3  with Assyria,

and send olive oil as tribute 4  to Egypt.
