Failure to Learn from the Sin and Judgment of Gibeah

10:9 O Israel, you have sinned since the time ²  of Gibeah,

and there you have remained.

Did not war overtake the evildoers in Gibeah?

Hosea 12:1

12:1 Ephraim continually feeds on the wind;

he chases the east wind all day;

he multiplies lies and violence.

They make treaties ³  with Assyria,

and send olive oil as tribute ⁴  to Egypt.
