Israel Has Turned Away from the Lord

7:13 Woe to them! For they have fled from me!

Destruction to them! For they have rebelled against me!

I want to deliver ¹  them,

but they have lied to me.

God Will Raise Up the Assyrians to Attack Israel

8:1 Sound the alarm! ² 

An eagle ³  looms over the temple of the Lord!

For they have broken their covenant with me, ⁴ 

and have rebelled against my law.
