Isaiah 16:6

16:6 We have heard about Moab’s pride,

their great arrogance,

their boasting, pride, and excess. ¹ 

But their boastful claims are empty! ² 

Isaiah 56:12

56:12 Each one says, ³ 

‘Come on, I’ll get some wine!

Let’s guzzle some beer!

Tomorrow will be just like today!

We’ll have everything we want!’ ⁴ 

Isaiah 64:12

64:12 In light of all this, ⁵  how can you still hold back, Lord?

How can you be silent and continue to humiliate us?
