Isaiah 2:14

2:14 for all the tall mountains,

for all the high hills, ¹ 

Isaiah 65:7

65:7 for your sins and your ancestors’ sins,” ²  says the Lord.

“Because they burned incense on the mountains

and offended ³  me on the hills,

I will punish them in full measure.” ⁴ 

[2:14]  ¹ sn The high mountains and hills symbolize the apparent security of proud men, as do the high tower and fortified wall of v. 15.
