Isaiah 21:6

21:6 For this is what the sovereign master ¹  has told me:

“Go, post a guard!

He must report what he sees.

Isaiah 41:27

41:27 I first decreed to Zion, ‘Look, here’s what will happen!’ ² 

I sent a herald to Jerusalem. ³ 

[21:6]  ¹ tn The Hebrew term translated “sovereign master” here and in vv. 8, 16 is אֲדֹנָי (’adonay).

[41:27]  ² tn The Hebrew text reads simply, “First to Zion, ‘Look here they are!’” The words “I decreed” are supplied in the translation for clarification.
