[22:14]  1 tn Heb “it was revealed in my ears [by?] the Lord who commands armies [traditionally, the Lord of hosts].”

[22:14]  2 tn Heb “Certainly this sin will not be atoned for until you die.” This does not imply that their death will bring atonement; rather it emphasizes that their sin is unpardonable. The statement has the form of an oath.

[30:2]  3 tn Heb “those who go to descend to Egypt, but [of] my mouth they do not inquire.”

[30:2]  4 tn Heb “to seek protection in the protection of Pharaoh, and to seek refuge in the shade of Egypt.”

[57:17]  5 tn Heb “and I struck him, hiding, and I was angry.” פָּנַיִם (panayim, “face”) is the implied object of “hiding.”

[57:17]  6 tn Heb “and he walked [as an] apostate in the way of his heart.”
